The Story Behind Each Bebé Mango Candle
Every Bebé Mango candle begins with a story of renewal.
Andrea Shriver, the artist behind Bebé Mango, along with her husband, Steve, also own Eco Lips, an organic lip care company. When Eco Lips was left with a supply of beeswax that didn’t meet the strict quality standards for personal care products. Andrea saw an opportunity to turn what might have gone to waste into something beautiful and began experimenting with candle making.
Working in small batches, she melts the upcycled organic beeswax and blends in natural pigments that range from soft neutrals to bold, expressive tones. The wax is then hand-poured into silicone molds with cotton wicks and released only once fully hardened, preserving the clean sculptural form.
Each candle is free of added fragrance or essential oils, allowing the beeswax’s natural honey aroma to shine through. The result is a clean-burning candle with a subtle scent that warms a space without overpowering it.
Because beeswax absorbs color differently with each batch, every candle carries its own unique hue and character — no two are ever exactly alike.
From upcycled beeswax to hand-poured craftsmanship, Bebé Mango reflects Andrea’s belief that sustainability and artistry can coexist beautifully, turning an everyday object into an intentional piece of sculptural design.
